Travelfish guides to Chapasak and the Laos’ remote south added

without comments

Well it’s been a busy weekend and we managed to wrap up two more Travelfish Guides over the weekend. They’re both going for the bargain price of US$2.95 each — cheaper than a few BeerLaos and a BBQ fish!

The first covers the remote southern Lao provinces of Salavan, Sekong and Attapeu, while the other covers the far more popular Champasak province.

So it’s one for those who love to get off the beaten track and another for those looking for an island break in a land-locked country.

Kompong Chhnang added

without comments

Just because it’s really difficult to say doesn’t mean Kompong Chhnang isn’t worth visiting. Set on the bank of the Ton Le Sap, for most, Kompong Chhnang is nothing more than a bit of passing scenery from the Phnom Penh to Siem Reap boat, but as our man on the ground found out — there’s a lot more to Kompong Chhnang than earthernware pots.

You can read our full Kompong Chhnang coverage here.

Pleiku, Gia Lai province added in Vietnam

without comments

We’ve just added coverage to another of Vietnam’s more remote provinces — Gia Lai province in the Central Highlands, including the provincial capital of Pleiku. Probably not as great a destination as say Kon Tum to the north, there’s nevertheless enough to justify a visit. You can read more about Gia Lai and the provincial capital of Pleiku here.
